Professor Zbigniew Strzelecki – is a distinguished scholar with substantial experience in public administration. He is among others the head of the Department of Regional and Spatial Development at the Collegium of Socio-Economics, Warsaw School of Economics, director of Masovian Bureau for Regional Planning in Warsaw, Chairman of the Government Population Council, president of the Polish Demographic Society, member of the presidium of the Demographic Committee of the Polish Academy of Science. He is also former Undersecretary of State – vice-president of Governmental Center for Strategic Studies (1997-2003). A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics (1972, Ph.D. 1979), he held internships at Charles University in Prague, L'Institut National d'Etudes Demographiques in Paris and Bureau of Labor Statistics in Washington, D.C.
